Generation Beyond Program Seeks To Prepare Future Deep Space Explorers

Lockheed Martin has partnered with Discovery Education to launch the next phase of Generation Beyond, an initiative to use science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education to prepare today's middle school students nationwide for deep space exploration.The no cost program includes an online curriculum for teachers and families, with standards-based, digital resources such as lesson plans, educator guides and family activities. Cricket Media and Smithsonian Launch Annual Global Folklorist Challenge

Cricket Media announced the launch of its 3rd Annual Global Folklorist Challenge in partnership with the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage. The challenge, open to kids eight to eighteen worldwide, asks participants to examine a local or regional tradition by interviewing a community tradition bearer and creating a video or slide show to share the story.
