Futuresource Consulting Recognizes Industry Leader with Over 34% Market Share
YOUNGSTOWN, OH - Turning Technologies, the global leader in the assessment delivery and data collection industry, confirmed its number one market position in a first quarter 2012 report delivered by independent research firm Futuresource Consulting. The report confirms that Turning has grown its number one position for the seventh consecutive calendar quarter. During the first quarter, over 34% of all "clicker" response devices shipped worldwide were distributed from Turning Technologies, more than the number two and number three providers combined.
According to Futuresource, Turning has grown in both unit sales overall and in market share in every segment, reinforcing its position as the leading provider of response systems. Compared to the prior year, the number of units shipped grew by 18%. Individual market standings are expected to ascend with the introduction of new products specifically focused on K-12 customers. Turning also sees great opportunity to expand its existing mobile solutions due to the large implementation of mobile computing worldwide. In 2011, nearly 12 million mobile computers were purchased by schools globally, creating a strong need for accompanying products.
