CompassLearning Introduces Enhanced Version of Renzulli Learning

Strengthening Teachers’ Ability to Focus on Common Core Standards; New Features Streamline Access to Tens of Thousands of Resources Aligned to Common Core

AUSTIN, Texas--(via BUSINESS WIRE)--Recognizing that teachers need help preparing students for the Common Core Standards and assessments, CompassLearning today announced the 2012 version of Renzulli Learning™ that helps teachers develop students’ critical thinking and reasoning skills, thus preparing them for college and 21st century careers.

“Across the nation, states and districts are raising the bar to ensure their students graduate ready for college and 21st century careers,” said Arthur VanderVeen, vice president of strategy for Compass Learning. “The Common Core Standards ask students to think critically, reason deeply, and write to defend a point of view—in short, to demonstrate the kinds of skills they will need to be successful in a globally competitive world. As we ask more of our students, we place new demands on our teachers, who need new tools and resources to help students achieve and demonstrate this deeper learning.”

The enhanced Renzulli Learning makes it easier than ever for teachers to quickly search, sort, and select from Renzulli Learning’s database of 40,000 online resources to create engaging lessons and projects that ask students to apply, deepen, and extend their learning. Renzulli Learning automatically differentiates the lessons based on student strengths, interests, learning and expression styles.

New features, available today, include:
• a streamlined process for designing and assigning lessons,
• QuickView of each student’s differentiated resources,
• an improved teacher dashboard for managing student assignments, and
• more intuitive navigation.

Streamlined Lesson Design

• Seamlessly access “Favorites” and add them to differentiated lessons
