Sublime Learning™ Reveals Inquiry-Based Learning for Interactive Whiteboards at ISTE; Powerful New eTeachable Product Library Supports Problem-Based K-8 Teaching Strategies

Portland, OR, July 13, 2011 - Sublime Learning™, the education leader in providing professional development products and services focused on effective use of technology to meet K-12 instructional goals, recently announced the release of its newest eTeachables library.  Inquiry-Based Learning for Interactive Whiteboards (IWB) supports instruction around key questions or themes to offer educators timely, problem-based K-8 teaching strategies.

Developed by professional learning experts, Sublime Learning eTeachables offer streamlined professional development tools that focus on fully integrating technology into instruction and reaching all learning styles-visual, auditory and kinesthetic-through different topical libraries. These 3- to 5-minute narrated video tutorials model effective teaching and learning strategies, and include customizable templates for hundreds of K-8 lessons.

"We believe that teachers want to use technology to support higher-level thinking and problem- and project-based learning in their classrooms. Our Inquiry-Based Learning for IWB eTeachables library allows districts to better use the interactive whiteboard technology they already own before making additional purchases," states Kendra Grant, Chief Education Officer and Co-Founder of Sublime Learning.  "We believe that by empowering educators to teach effectively with technology, more students will have the opportunity to participate in transformational learning experiences."

Prior to its release, the demand for this product already was seen in leading districts in the US. The state of Virginia will be the first to implement Sublime's eTeachables™ for Visual Learning and Inquiry-Based Learning for IWB libraries in a 2011-2012 state-wide pilot.  Sublime Learning will offer Virginia's ITRT (Instructional Technology Resource Teachers) support network easy-to-use, high quality, online professional development tutorials that focus on teaching using software and hardware already widely available in Virginia schools.

In supporting teachers to meet the needs of every learner, Sublime Learning offers a full range of professional learning services including online, masters-level, accredited courses that focus on integrating technology into instruction.
