An Affordable Selection of 648 Leveled Books Engages Students in Guided Reading
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 30, 2011/via PRNewswire/ -- Zaner-Bloser has published Voices Leveled Library, an extensive collection of books for Grade K-6 developed to meet students at any reading level. The library's 648 titles are flexible enough to be used in any literacy framework for small-group guided reading instruction and independent reading.
The engaging books are organized into six themes: Identity Awareness; Perspective Taking; Conflict Resolution; Family, Friends, and Community; Social Awareness; and Democracy. The themes build across the grade levels and can support positive school climate and anti-bullying initiatives.
The books afford a wide selection of high-interest topics, including science and social studies, for Guided Reading Levels AA-Z and also contain school-to-home activities for valuable at-home learning opportunities.
"This large collection of affordable leveled books will enrich any classroom. It will keep students engaged in their reading while their teachers provide them instruction that matches their ability levels," Zaner-Bloser President Bob Page said.
Teaching Routine Cards and online audio recordings of the books are available for additional guided reading support. Voices Leveled Library books are available in six-packs by individual title, theme or grade level to accommodate the many ways that teachers can choose to use them.
