Black Box Showcases Innovative Solutions at ISTE 2011 Conference - Premier Event for the Education Technology Industry; Company Will Demonstrate PC Virtualization, Digital Signage, and Wireless Projection Devices - Multiple Solutions for Increased Efficiencies and Decreased Costs

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA - June 27, 2011 - Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX), an industry-leading provider of voice communications, data infrastructure, and product solutions, announced today it will be showcasing several of its core products at the ISTE 2011 conference, the premier annual technology meeting for the education marketplace.

Black Box will demonstrate several of its key solutions from Booth #3042, including devices for PC virtualization, digital signage, and wireless video presentation.

The company's VirtuaCore™ PC virtualization product allows the computational power of one PC to be split to two or four independently functioning workstations. It provides significant cost savings for educational facilities through reduced capital expenditures, lowered energy costs, and decreased IT staffing and software needs.

Black Box offers high quality digital signage devices that provide clear content in near real time. It will demonstrate the iCOMPEL™ product, an innovative AV over IP device that allows the distribution of custom video and static content over a wide area of digital signs. The device is perfect for educational institutions that need solutions for bringing content to moving audiences in a clear and dynamic manner.

ISTE attendees will also see Black Box's Wireless Video Presentation System II (VPS II) which allows multiple laptop users to wirelessly control and share projector presentations. Windows® or Mac® users can access the device from up to 200 feet away, giving educators and administrators a flexible projection solution for classroom or internal settings. The VPS works with mobile devices and also supports 4-to-1 split-screen projection. The secure device can also be used as a wireless access point.

"We are very pleased to participate in ISTE, the top conference for technology in the educational industry." said Brian Kutchma, director of marketing for Black Box. "We have a range of solutions that can help educational institutions who are operating with very limited budgets. From virtual computer setups to new digital signage applications and wireless collaborative projection, Black Box is consistently bringing real innovation to the education marketplace."

The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference brings together top administrative decision makers, teachers, government representatives, and IT staff.
