SIF Association AU Welcomes Inaugural Member

Melbourne, Australia, 25 August 2010 - Insight4 has become the very first SIF Association AU member. Jared Hill is the Managing Director of Insight4, an Australian based enterprise application development and ICT consulting company that undertake custom software development, systems integration and data management solutions architecture across a range of industries including education, utilities, finance, health and Government sectors.

In seven years, the Hobart-based software development and IT consultancy has become a key supplier in the Tasmanian market. From a four-person team at launch, it has grown to twenty full time staff and remains a business operating at the cutting edge of technology.

Insight4 was successful in winning the AMP Innovation Award at the 2010 Telstra Tasmanian Business Awards. State education CIO's have funded the development of the “Towards SIF-AU” project to establish an appropriate SIF Specifications for the Australian context. Towards SIF-AU has support from all K-12 jurisdictions in Australia and the project plans to provide a robust framework for interoperability in Australian education. The purpose of the Interim Board is to be the initial governance body to oversee the establishment of SIF Association AU. Members of the Interim Board include CIOs from state and commonwealth education departments, as well as cross-sectoral representatives. The Interim Board will also prepare for on-going governance and operational arrangements for SIF Association AU.
